Jamala
Jamala is a Ukrainian singer of Crimean Tatar origin, she performs songs in the styles of jazz, soul, funk, folk, gospel, pop, and electro, and participates in opera productions and shows. She’s the winner of Eurovision 2016 with her song “1944” about the Deportation of the Crimean Tatars. In 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2022 she served as a judge at the Ukrainian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
She is touring the world right now with a charity tour, collecting funds for the support of the Ukrainian army. Jamala, being of Crimean Tatar origin, knows very well how cruel the “russian world” is and she’s doing everything she can to help the Ukrainian army liberate Ukraine, especially Crimea.
